25. Development of new low calorie snacks

Description

At the Tech Transfer Agrifood Fund, we are looking for innovation in the development of low calorie snacks, maintaining engagement (tastiness).

Innovation in the formulation of oils/fats/other snack ingredients will be valued, so that the fat part contributes less (or no) calories.

Focus: Palatability, health, snack.

Possible approaches

• Innovation in process or new formulation of product.
• Ingredients that provide juiciness and flavour without calories.
• Light concept, low in calories and appetising.
• Juicy and with a good texturization

The recovery of by-products coming from the agrifood industry is valued.

It is essential to show that the added ingredients/formulations have scientific evidence.
