At the Tech transfer Agrifood Fund, we are looking for alternatives (cannula) to the forced feeding of ducks for the industrial production of foie. The desired objective is that, during the duck fattening phase, the animal feeds spontaneously, according to its needs and fulfilling the production process: number of days, frequency of feeds, amount of intake, etc.
Therefore, alternatives are sought which are aligned with the concept of animal welfare.
It can be via technical means and/or helped by some type of substance that encourages food/cereal intake.
Solutions not adapted exclusively to the growth conditions of ducks.
