In 2018, Luke Saldanha (India) and Pepe Biaggio (Argentina) decided to make a 180-degree turn in their lives and change the security of the financial industry in which they worked – and with which they no longer identified – for a project that would bring value to people. Thus Pink Albatross was born, a brand of plant-based and clean label ice creams, aimed at the retail and horeca channels and made “with ingredients that anyone can draw”. Luke’s veganism and activism in favour of animal welfare and Pepe’s daughter Emma’s nutritional difficulties caused by food allergies inspire ice creams designed to please everyone – regardless of their nutritional needs or convictions – and to make life easier for allergy sufferers.
