Population growth has raised world meat consumption in recent years and this growth may continue to increase in the future. Insect-based foods have proven to be a very favorable alternative for large-scale protein production thanks to the fact that they require fewer resources and their waste is practically non-existent, that is why at Tech Transfer Agrifood we look for new products based on insects in different formats (hamburger, meatballs, bars, pasta, flours etc.).
Products that contain good organoleptic properties in terms of taste, smell and texture.
The product must have nutritional properties similar to meat.
Products that have a color or taste that is unpleasant for the consumer.
